Scholarships and Internships
 

         The Department of Geological Sciences strongly encourages Geology and Natural Sciences students to seek scholarships and other forms of financial assistance.  With the terrific support of the alumni, the Department has built 7 endowed scholarships.  An annual banquet is held to continue to improve the funding of these scholarships.  Please explore the links on this page to learn more about our program and to find sources of scholarships and internships.

Alumni Scholarships

All undergraduate students are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

CEA-CREST

CEA-CREST (Center for Environmental Analysis-Centers of Research Excellence in Science and Technology) provides students with exciting opportunities for focused and interdisciplinary research in the environmental sciences.  Numerous geology students have received funding from CEA-CREST.

CSULA Scholarship Office

All students must contact this office to receive a scholarship.

Department Scholarships

Undergraduate and graduate Geology majors and Natural Science majors are encouraged to apply for these scholarships.

Geological Society of America

Graduate students may win GSA research grants.

National Association of Geology Teachers (NAGT)

CSULA students have won scholarships from NAGT.  You can too.

Robert Noyce Scholarship

Natural Science majors who a pursuing a teaching career are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

SCEC Summer Internship

Numerous undergraduate students have done an internship with the Southern California Earthquake Center.
