Eagles Nest Gymnasium

Amid the pageantry of processionals and academic regalia, 5,000 Cal State L.A. students will be recognized at the University’s Honors Convocation on April 25. The main ceremony will begin 7 p.m. at the Eagles Nest Gymnasium, followed by individual college programs and receptions across campus (see below for details). This year’s keynote speaker is alumna Elizabeth Devine, co-executive producer on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Coordinated by the Division of Academic Affairs, the Honors Convocation is a special event that honors Cal State L.A. students whose academic records place them in the top fifth percentile of their peers. Dean’s List honorees, recipients of scholarships and grants, incoming freshmen with high grade-point averages, and general-education honors program participants will also be acknowledged. Students participating in Honors Convocation should arrive at 6 p.m. to line up for the procession.

Business and Economics | Los Angeles Rooms A, B, and C
Charter College of Education | Walkway in front of King Hall
Engineering, Computer Science and Technology | Golden Eagle Ballrooms
