Commencement is the ceremony in which (major) degrees are conferred on candidates who are eligible to graduate for a given term. To be eligible to participate in the Commencement 2020 ceremonies, graduating candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
File to graduate for the eligible declared graduation terms by the corresponding deadlines listed in the Eligible Declared Graduation Terms section, or by April 1, 2020. Please note that there is a late fee when a graduation application is filed after the corresponding deadline listed. Candidates who submit an application after April 1, 2020 are still eligible to participate in the Commencement ceremonies but will no longer be listed in the Commencement program.
Be on track to complete all bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree requirements by the end of the eligible declared graduation terms. To officially graduate from Cal State LA, students must satisfy all university, college, and departmental requirements for a specific degree.
