Basic Search Help


To search via GET's Class Search:

  • In the Class Search page, select the institution and term from the dropdown field and click the GO button.

  • The Search for Classes page opens. In the Couse Subject box enter the course abbreviation. If course abbreviation is unknown, click the select subject button.

  • The Course Subject Lookup page opens. Find the course by clicking on a letter and select your subject by clicking the subject button. The browser will return to the Search for Classes page.

  • In the Course Number box enter the course number such as 101 or 102. If the number is not known its may be left blank. If a number is inserted such as 1, the search will list any course containing the number 1, as in a wildcard search.

    The drop down menu will allow you to specify the criteria when looking up a Course Number:

    • contains: Enter a number to find a class that contains that value in the Course Number (e.g. 2 would yield any class with a 2: 102, 200, 220, 426)
    • greater than or equal to: Enter a number to find a Course Number equal to or greater than that number (e.g. 200 would yield 200, 334, 426)
    • is exactly: Enter the exact value of the Course Number (e.g. 200). This is the default selection.
    • less than or equal to: Enter a number to find a Course Number equal to or less than that number (e.g. 200 would yield 200, 10, 114 )

  • To refine and narrow search by instructor, day, or time, select the Advanced Search Criteria link.
