Call for Participants
Applying the Quality Matters Rubric Hybrid Workshop
Deadline to apply is noon on Monday, April 11, 2016

In coordination with CSU Academic Technology Services, Cal State LA will be offering a hybrid version of the Applying the Quality Matter’s (QM) Rubric workshop in May 2016 at Cal State LA.  The Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop is QM's flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and the process of using the QM Rubric to review online or hybrid courses.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to use the QM rubric to review the design of online and blended/hybrid courses.  Workshop objectives include:

  • Recognize the foundational concepts of Quality Matters
  • Apply specific review standards to online or blended/hybrid course examples
  • Apply the concept of alignment to online or blended/hybrid courses
  • Draft helpful recommendations for specific review standards in the Quality Matters rubric

Faculty currently teaching (or with a strong interest in teaching) an online or hybrid course who are interested in having their course QM peer reviewed are encouraged to apply.  Faculty and administrators interested in learning online or hybrid course best practices are also encouraged to apply.

This version of the workshop will take place online over a 3-week time frame with 2 face-to-face meetings in between.  Participants must commit to the following timeline:
