Email Tutoring
Introducing
the University Writing Center’s new email Tutoring Service
We are pleased to
announce our email tutoring service, which offers you the opportunity to
submit your work online for feedback.
Just as in our in-person appointments, we will ask you questions and give you suggestions that will help you develop as a writer, answer your questions about your work, and even help when you are having trouble with your assignment.
The more information you can give us about your assignment the better we can help you. If you have a copy of the assignment sheet from your teacher, please quote it directly. If you have an electronic copy of the assignment, attach it to this email along with your work. Otherwise, explain as completely as possible your understanding of what the assignment is.
Please note: We are not taking email requests at this time.

Description of an assignment if attachment is not available.
Attach: Only ONE essay per request. The Assignment sheet if available.
Once we receive your request, a tutor will be assigned a 30-minute appointment to review it and give you feedback. We will let you know as soon as your appointment has been scheduled. Email tutoring is available Monday through Friday on a limited basis.
Please keep in mind that during our busiest times, we may not be able to accommodate email consultations.
The information you submit, your drafts, and the responses from the tutors will be retained for possible follow-up, research, and training purposes. Any information used for these purposes will be used anonymously.
