The Teacher Preparation Advisement Center (TPAC) offers a location for teacher preparation students to receive advisement and provides students with a clearer path to degree completion by providing consistent and accessible advisement year around. The TPAC faculty and Graduate Peer Advisers will provide academic advisement and related services for those students pursuing a degree in teaching at the elementary (Elementary Subject Matter (ESM)), Special Education, or secondary (Single Subject Matter (SS)) level.  The advisement is related to common elements of the programs across majors. For ESM & Special Education students the common elements are the core requirements including general education and graduation requirements and for Option IV, CSET advisement (for multiple subjects only).  For SS students the common elements include graduation requirements and both lower division and upper division general education.  Students seek advisement from the major for the specific breadth and depth areas from their own department/program which are listed below.

TPAC is responsible for coordination of the “early experience” component of the teacher preparation programs that start as early as the freshman year for ESM students and usually occur in the junior or senior year of the SS program.
