About CSULA
California State University, Los Angeles was established in 1947 in the western San Gabriel Valley. The campus is located just five miles east of downtown Los Angeles and its freeway access makes it easily reached from many Southern California communities.
The University is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Programs within the Charter College of Education are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
