Faculty Scholar Richard Berrett will
present a workshop on Creating
the Service Learning Assignment
Effective service-learning
assignments require adjustments in most
faculty teaching. This workshop
explores four principles that enable a
service-learning assignment to be a
meaningful, integrated aspect of a
course. Examples of each of the four
principles will be explored and
attendees will be asked to bring the
syllabus of a course they are
considering adding a service-learning
assignment to.
