Perspectives is a product of the students in the History Department and members of the Eta Xi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta at the California State University, Los Angeles. Since 1973, the journal has published the historical research of undergraduate and graduate students.

The purpose of Perspectives is to provide a forum for intellectual exchange. This website now provides us with another way for people engaged in the study of history to reach a wider audience.

The user may access volumes XXXIV and XXXV online, and in the future we hope to offer all volumes since 1973 on this website. We have also included links to resources related to the study of history on our campus and beyond.
