Music Resource Center

The MRC is a score and recordings library. As the facility is operated and funded by the Department of Music its resources are used, primarily, by the music faculty and their students. Other CSLA faculty/students interested in using the library should first contact the MRC staff.

THE COLLECTION

Recordings: 2,000 compact discs and 8,500 phonograph records (85% classical, 10% jazz, 5% popular). If your computer contains the program Excel '98 you can browse the CD list by clicking on the above link (earlier versions of Excel may not work).

Scores: 7,500 orchestral, chamber, vocal and keyboard scores (100% classical).

Scores: 1 month

Scores: 1 month (To insure the availability of scores for the faculty, students may only check out scores in which the MRC owns more than one copy.)

Recordings: 2 weeks

Recordings: Although students cannot check out recordings they may listen to them at one of the MRC's listening cubicles.

Scores: 25 cents per day (not including weekends or holidays).
