for Minority Student Development Graduate Scholars Programs
at University of Arizona-The intention of the NIH/IMSD Scholars
program is to provide five (5) years of funding, an out-of-state
tuition waiver, individual health insurance, and other support
as long as satisfactory progress is made toward the Ph.D. The
first year, Scholars receive $18,000, an in-state registration
waiver, rotate through 3-4 research laboratories prior to choosing
a research mentor, and $1,000 in travel funds to attend a research
conference.

Biolgical and Biomedical Sciences Program (BBS)- BBS represents
an amalgamation of the faculty in the Departments of Cell Biology,
Cellular and Molecular Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Genetics,
