Trends in Dementia Diagnosis and Care
Abstract:
This free-wheeling talk will cover a multi-disciplinary approach
to diagnosis and management of the neurodegenerative dementias.
Discussion of subclassification of the dementias, risk factors,
treatment will be addressed. Time permitting we will address caregiver
issues such as communication changes, unrealistic expectations,
environmental simplification and behavior modification as approaches
to aggression and other difficult behaviors.
Speaker welcomes questions from the audience as the talk progresses.
