Geeks vs. Snobs: What The Internet Has Done To The Movies

Sunday, September 19, 2010

ABSTRACT: The internet is a wondrous thing. It has given movie fans a platform to discuss, research, and critique movies with people all around the world. I'll take a look at how this has both helped and hurt filmmakers and critics.  In addition, I will also dissect the difference between geeks and snobs.

SPEAKER BIO: Matt Nakamura has worn many hats: physical, metaphysical, metaphoric, and wool just to name a few.  As LaaF's acclaimed drummer and maker of human-like meat products, Matt has brought to us a sense of his sensibilities and an impressions of his impressiveness.  Although he is an expert on male nudity in films, that highly anticipated lecture has been postponed in favor of his other great passions: geeks, snobs, and the internet.

Film: The Happening (2008)

Food: snobby geeky food

When: Sunday, September 19, 6:00PM

Where: Lisa's macabre condo!
