For Better or Worse:
Weddings and Movies

ABSTRACT: Weddings are spectacular things - they are often one of the most important days in a couple's life. Thousands of dollars are spent on food, decorations, and other things just to make the day "just right." And usually almost everything goes according to plan. Meanwhile, there are movie weddings. Movie weddings are almost always destined for disaster. Why does this happen so frequently? Is it really necessary to save major plot twists for the altar? Come to LaaF as I explore weddings in movies. And then we'll watch the 1967 classic "The Graduate."

SPEAKER BIO: Miles Chen's talents range from the artistic (including creative flip-video-directing to angular choreography to game-mastering) to the scientific (including moving Stephen Hawking's furniture and helping hapless statistics students).  Miles' powerpoint genius combine these two dimensions and thus creates a synergy of learning and awe.  He also has a girlfriend who is awesome.
