SUMMER COURSES
FOR STUDENTS AND ADULTS

Through the Los Angeles Writing Project’s Summer Courses, teachers in all subject areas and all grade levels learn new strategies to help their students become accomplished writers and learners. These courses provide opportunities for practitioners, literacy coaches, administrators, curriculum specialists, and university instructors to learn current methods of instruction. Located in the Charter College of Education at Cal State LA, the LAWP is one of 17 California Writing Project sites and 200 National Writing Project sites dedicated to the improvement of student learning through the effective teaching riting.

For Adults:
The Summer Creative Writing Intensive is a summer writing "camp" for adults. In a four-week intensive, students will have the opportunity to write personal memoir, fiction, and poetry for self-enrichment. The course will run from July 19-August 11, two days a week.
