Project Web -- Schedule

This page contains a list of topics that we are interested in. And, it contains links to documents, software programs and components developed by the project, and to other tools we've found useful and collected here for your convenience.

The research interests are Parallel/Distributed and Cloud Computing, e-Business Architecture and Language, Bioinformatics, and Internet Protocol

Parallel/Distributed and Cloud Computing

  1. Jongwook Woo, The Technical Demand of Cloud Computing (클라우드 컴퓨팅 기술수요) in Korean, Technical Report
    • Granted from KISTI (Korea Institute of Science and Technical Information) 한국과학기술정보연구원
  2. Cloud Computing in e-Business, Scientific application, and Multimedia Data
  3. Hadoop Examples
    • Market Basket Analysis Algorithm, Jongwook Woo, March 29 2011
      • Associate the pair of products in order as key
        • For example, (icecream, cookie, beer) => <(icecream, cookie), (icecream, cookie), (cookie, beers)>
      • Value is the number of frequency for key
      • NOTE: found that there is a bottle-neck in data distribution, aggregation, and reducing; cannot improve its performance gain at a certain number of nodes. Thus, even though adding more nodes, at a certain point, there is no performance improvement.
    • MyMaxTemperatureWithCombiner, Jongwook Woo, Aug 11 2009
  4. Static Analysis in Java/Object-Oriented Language
  5. Parallel and Distributed Computing in Multimedia such as Image and Computer Graphics
