Angeles were 97 percent (120,307) of the population, the highest for any
place outside the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Other cities with majorities
of Hispanics are shown on this slide.
|Almost half (47 percent) of
the population of Los Angeles was Hispanic.
|New York City had the
largest number of Hispanics, but its 2.2 million Hispanic population
accounted for only about a quarter of the total population.
