THE SATO ALGORITHM:
Sato is a decision algorithm which places the noisy signal point into the 'correct' quadrant and constellation region. The decision is based on the assumption that the quadrant and region within which the noisy signal resides are the most likely quadrant and region respectively of the original signal. Notice a less dispersed constellation of the signal from Sato and the 33_Tap filter output.
