THE 33_TAP FILTER:
A 33-tap, adaptive FIR filter whose purpose is to undo the effect of ISI distortion. Ideally, it simulates the inverse characteristics of the dispersive channel.  Adaptation of the filter tap weights follows the Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm. This recursive adaptation must seek an optimal filter coefficients for better cancellation of the ISI effect of the channel.
