The
scale of production: an annual output of 200,000 pcs of 8-inch
chips for integrated circuits(IC) with a width of 0.8¦Ìm.
Our integrated circuit industry lagged behind that of
foreign countries. The requirements for it were 10 billion pcs
in the domestic market in 2000, but the IC chips production
was only 1 to 1.2 billion pcs. Since the production technology
for the 0.5¦Ìm-class cores is highly required,
they fall short of the demand in the domestic market. The semiconductor
devices have been produced for over 20 years in Ningbo. The
output of the discrete devices have accounted for about 30 percent
of the whole in the country. The project will cover an area
of 40,000 sq.m. with the construction of 15,000 sq.m.. The duration
of construction would be one year.
It is predicted that the annual sales income would be
1.245 billion yuan with the annual profit of 124.5 million yuan.

Ningbo High-tech
Industry Park is jointly developed and constructed by the Academy
of Science of China and Ningbo People's Government. The Economic
Development Bureau of Ningbo High-tech Industry Park takes charge
of the high-tech development plan and its implementation in
the park, foreign-funded firm establishment, and foreign economic
cooperations. |

Location Advantage
|
The
site for the project depends on the city proper. It is 15Km
from Beilun Port, 6Km from Hangzhou-Ningbo expressway, 18Km
from Lishe airport, and 7Km from Ningbo train station. It can
enjoy the preferential policy on the high-tech industrial sector.
Water, power and gas are available there. |
