Dear Sirs, We have received your letter of March 30 under reference JKB/JG and also your letter of credie AC-5891 covering your trial order for Toys. With regard to the port of destination and the shipping mark KRA-ACCRA, we wish to say that we cannot ship the goods to Takoradi with the shipping mark SCCRA, because, in this case, the shipping company will not hold themselves responsible for wrong delivery. Furthermore, you have stated in the L/C "Port of destination ACCRA and TAKORADI" which means shipment to be made to two ports, while in fact it should be "port of destination ACCRA or TAKORADI". Although delivery has been much delayed, we regret we still cannot ship the goods for the reasons mentioned above. We shall therefore appreciate it if you will amend the L/C as follows: 1. Port of destination - either Accra or Takoradi. If you want the goods to be shipped to Takoradi, please change the shipping mark from KRA-ACCRA to KRA-TAKORADI. 2. Delete the insurance clause "irrespective of delay at the port of discharge" because our insurance is usually valid for 60 days after arrival of the goods at the destination. The time for effecting shipment is not ample. If you amend the letter of credit immediately on receipt of this letter, the amendment advice will most probably reach here by the end of April. In order to avoid further trouble, we propose that you extend the shipment date and the validity of the L/C to May 15 and May 31 respectively. Yours
