• M.A., Industrial Arts Education, Indiana State University, 1983.
  
• B.S., Industrial Education, Lake Superior State College, 1979.

EXPERIENCE

• Professor Seaman has served as the chair of the Los Angeles chapter of Intergraph Users Group (IGUG). He has recently been elected as a member of the board of theSouthern California Intergraph Users Group (SCIUG) .
  
• He currently trains professionals in 2D & 3D Computer Aided Design using MicroStation CAD software.
  
• He actively works with industry partners (manufacturing, utility companies, architectural companies) to enhance educational opportunities in CAD.
  
• He set up the CADD/TRAD (Computer Aided Design & Drafting/TRADitional drafting) laboratory using Intergraph Interpro workstations and MicroStation software.
  
• He is an active member of Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
  
• He participates with small to medium sized manufacturing companies and maintains ties with the Los Angeles National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA).
  
• He serves as the Cooperative Education coordinator for the School of Engineering and Technology at CSULA.
  
• He has worked to develop ties with educational institutions in Japan and France.

AREAS OF PARTICULAR EXPERTISE

By working with the CADD/TRAD laboratory at California State University, Dr. Seaman is developing expertise in the area of Solid Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and database development for a wide range of manufacturing activities.
