In support of the SCEEME goals, CSULA focuses on the long-term, systematic reform of its undergraduate engineering education across the curricula to enable increased discussion of manufacturing topics in existing mechanical and electrical engineering courses, enhancing existing manufacturing related courses, and creating a new degree option in Manufacturing Engineering. These efforts include curricula modernization, development of closer ties with industry, and sharing of faculty and facilities with participating campuses.
The new B.S. Degree in Engineering with Special Option was recently approved on campus at CSULA.
