Manufacturing Engineering
Emphasis Within Special Option


An emphasis in Manufacturing Engineering within the Special Option has been established. Upper division courses in this option will be taken from a group of courses in Engineering, Technology and Management.
Manufacturing engineers are concerned with the transformation of raw materials into industrial and consumer goods. They are employed by a wide variety of manufacturing industries including aerospace, appliance, automotive, electronics, machine tools and semiconductor. Students interested in Manufacturing Engineering are advised to consult the associate dean for further information.

Degree Requirements:

(I) General Education Requirements - 52 units

(II) Requirement for the Major - 152 units

A total of 152 units is required for the major. Students must complete the following lower and upper division required courses.
