  • My experience includes teaching at CSLA for 13 years and teaching in a non-profit school for 10 years
    (1st and 2nd grades and director of the program).

  • My research efforts include examining the effects of language impairment on the development of mathematical concepts
    in preschool children, evaluating the effectiveness of technology use in training pre-service teachers to teach children
    global citizenship values, and also examining the needs and characteristics of learners in the urban environment.

Courses Taught

  • Courses taught include most child development courses, methods of teaching social studies in K-8, computers in the
    classroom, and a critical thinking course in the Charter College of Education's Urban Learning major.
  • My publications include a history unit on the World Wide Web, using satellite technology for meeting the National
    Technology Standards, critical thinking strategies, and a textbook on an introduction to the study of young children.
