Compete in the first annual Cal State LA Sales Bowl to show employers that you have what it takes to drive revenue for a business!
Salesmanship is an important skill valued by a wide rage of businesses since it is a critical vehicle for building revenue. We have launched this event as a part of our ongoing commitment to prepare students to compete in the real world by giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their achievement and skills in in-demand areas. Students will be tasked to move through a simulated sales pipeline with a prospective customer in order to:
- Convey value to a prospect during a first appointment
- Use questioning and information gathering in order to determine customer need and confirm commitment
- Engage in the delivery of a persuasive sales presentation that provides a prospect with compelling reasons to buy
Students will be given information about a product and customer and be expected to use communication skills (speaking, listening, questioning and presenting) in a three stage competition featuring two simulated sales calls and a sales presentation. Prizes will be awarded after each stage of the competition. No one will go away empty handed! Gift cards will be awarded for completing each level. Grand prizes for competitors with the top overall scores.
