The number of possible careers in marketing is enormous and salaries in marketing careers vary by company and position. Beginning salaries usually rank only slightly below those for engineering and chemistry, but equal or exceed those for economics, finance, accounting, general business, and the liberal arts. A marketing career makes you knowledgeable about the company, its products, and its all-important customers.
Marketing Career Outlook: The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment of advertising, marketing, promotions, public relations, and sales managers is expected to increase faster than the average (18-26%) for these occupations through 2014, spurred by intense domestic and global competition in products and services offered to consumers.
