I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in political science and a US Navy commission. After three years, mostly off the coast of Vietnam, I went to the University of Southern California and received a Ph.D. in political science. A short stint teaching political science at Cal. State, Long Beach while earning an MBA led to a career at Lockheed in Burbank, CA. as public affairs manager. After Lockheed closed in Burbank, I became a consultant for Lockheed Martin Corp. and other companies. I returned to teaching in 2001 and now teach undergraduate and graduate courses in strategic management, operations management, international management, small business management, entrepreneurship, marketing, marketing research at California State University, Los Angeles, Mt. St. Mary’s University, and DeVry University. I also work with my wife on her political consulting and public relations business.
