Richard Gregerson

Dick GregersonDick Gregerson is a part time lecturer in the Department of Management. In addition, he is the President of Janas Associates and Janas Consulting, Inc., which are boutique investment banking and management consulting firms located in Pasadena. Janas specializes in privately owned middle market companies with branch offices in Europe and Asia to serve clients’ international needs.

He has managed award-winning manufacturing facilities, created successful startups and directed a series of lucrative acquisitions. Dick has successfully competed in the cosmetics and beauty industry, automotive parts and accessories, industrial products, consumer products packaging, B2B e-commerce and advertising media. Altogether, Dick has advised or managed more than 200 middle market companies across a broad spectrum of industries.

He received his B.A. from Yale University in Intensive English (Honors Program) and earned his MBA at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. While at Tuck, he designed and implemented a Business English Curriculum for the Language Institute of Japan and conducted research on long term planning practices in Japan.

Dick gained his post-MBA finance and acquisition training at W. R. Grace & Company where he specialized in consumer and automotive specialty businesses. At The Allen Group, a communications and automotive company, he mastered in-depth financial analysis, public reporting, operations planning, and international taxation--serving in the Controllers Department and as Director of Planning.

As CFO of The Equion Corporation and Caliber Packaging, Dick directed nine successful acquisitions that built both companies into highly profitable $150 million multinationals.

At Janas Associates, he has achieved above market multiples for a number of sell-side engagements; brought practical ideas to increase company value and innovative solutions to deal-breaking issues. Numerous clients have expressed their appreciation for his skills and knowledge.
