Lena M. Baltakian is a business professional highly experienced in corporate and academic learning environments. She is a strategic business partner in manufacturing with years of experience in corporate, technical and manufacturing operations, training, compensation, benefits, policy compliance, and other programs.
Lena has dynamic facilitation skills through assignments in developing and implementing training programs with a deep understanding of the diversified needs of learners. She has proven record of performance in recruitment, workforce planning, compensation, employee relations, succession planning, and benefits administration.
Lena is passionate about developing talent and promoting a culture of empowerment, enablement and engagement. She is well-versed in governing multiple employment sites managing relationships at all levels, with HR implementation across all platforms of the company to streamline processes and drive initiatives.
In addition to the business partnerships, Lena serves as an adjunct faculty at Pierce Community College (since 2006) and an associate faculty at University of Phoenix (since 2007).
Lena holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of La Verne, focused on Leadership and Management and International Business. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from the Woodbury University in Burbank, where she received the Academic Excellence Award. Lena is a member of SHRM-Society for Human Resource Management (since 2003). She was certified in 2008 as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Most recently Lena became a part of the 7th cohort of Los Angeles Community College District's (LACCD) Faculty Teaching and Learning Academy (FTLA). She is now a part of the academic cohort focused on innovative instructional design efforts and teaching practices that increase student access, success, and equity across the LACCD.
