John F. Steiner is Professor of Management Emeritus. His teaching and research interests are in business ethics, corporate responsibility, management theory, and organization behavior. He received his B.S. from Southern Oregon University and received an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. He is coauthor of a textbook, Business, Government, and Society: A Managerial Perspective, now in its thirteenth edition, and has authored and coauthored several other texts and casebooks in the business and society field. Professor Steiner is a former chair of the Social Issues in Management Division of the Academy of Management. He served as chair of the Department of Management at California State University, Los Angeles from 1988 to 1995. In 2014 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the College of Business and Economics.
