MSIS degree
The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program is designed to provide advanced technical and managerial skills to those seeking advancement in their current career in Information Systems/ Information Technology (IS/IT) and to those on the verge of transitioning to a career in IS/IT.
The flexible program accommodates the needs of both working professionals and full-time students. Most courses are taught in the evening. Full-time students can complete the program within four quarters. Throughout the program, students learn from faculty and peers with diverse IT expertise.

With access to three of the fastest growing global economies, students in the MSIS program at Cal State LA have ample opportunities to embark on a local or global career in Information Technology. Many IT companies have started locating themselves in LA in an area known as Silicon Beach that runs from Venice Beach to Santa Monica. With an abundance of guest lecturers from the region and abroad, award-winning and active student organizations, and internship prospects, students have the opportunity to prepare themselves for a successful career in the vibrant industry of Information Technology.

A tech oriented and management augmented fast track Master of Science degree in Information Systems (MSIS) that may be completed in one and a half year at most. 

The year-round system allows you to complete the degree requirements in less time than at other campuses. Because most students are employed full-time, courses are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
