The Global Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation located within the College of Business and Economics at Cal State L.A. hosts a variety of programs and events designed to teach students the skills needed to become successful entrepreneurs. 

Entrepreneurship Week

One week each November, the Center participates in Global Entrepreneurship Week, an event designed to help students explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Through various events on campus students connect  with potential collaborators, mentors and even investors—introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities.

Start Up Weekend

Startup Weekend at Cal State L.A., Nov. 21-23, 2014, is a 54-hour intensive experience where participants learn the basics of starting and launching a successful venture.  Students from all disciplines are encouraged to join in this grassroots movement.  Meet experienced entrepreneurs who will coach and mentor you through this exiting event.   Empower your entrepreneurial spirit and register today! 

Startup Weekend 2014

Fast Pitch

Open to students across the university, the event encourages students with an innovative business idea to compete for prizes, mentorship, and the chance to pitch their ideas to our panel of highly accomplished investors and entrepreneurs.  The Fast Pitch event helps students hone their pitch to two minutes;  teaches them to think through their business model; and learn to concisely express their idea and its viability.
