All six Cal State L.A. Business Pitch teams were accepted into the prestigious National Science Foundation's Innovation Corp program within weeks of the Business Pitch competition. The primary goal of NSF I-Corps is to foster entrepreneurship that will lead to the commercialization of technology that has been supported previously by NSF-funded research. With additional educational, research and infrastructure resources, the teams will dive into an extremely rigorous ten week program that will require that they work weekly to validate their business model. From day one they will be coached by tech and biomed CEOs, Silicon Valley investors and successful entrepreneurs. The will be tested and pushed hard to produce amazing results. They will work alongside scientists, academics, doctors, engineers, and entrepreneurs all from different parts of the world who are all looking to start the next big thing.
