New Lower Division Transfer Admits

Congratulations on your admission to Cal State LA, and welcome to the Golden Eagle family!

To ensure a smooth transition to the University, please make sure you meet all of the following:

MyCalStateLA Portal

It is your responsibility to regularly check your Cal State LA email account, and to monitor and meet any deadlines posted on your GET Self-Service Student Center To Do List. Failure to frequently check your email and GET may result in missed deadlines, and the cancellation of your admission. You may also update your contact information in the GET portal.

Provisional Admissions

If your offer of admission is “provisional,” it means that it was based on the review of the self-reported information listed in your CSU Mentor Application, and you will see an Admissions Eligiblity Hold on your GET Self-Service Student Center page. Final admission eligibility will be determined using the coursework listed in your official, final transcript(s) (and, if applicable, your test scores). Please plan to submit your final academic records by the term's final transcript/test score deadline. After final academic records are reviewed, the Admissions Eligibility Verification hold will be updated. If it is released and no other hold appears, it means that your admission has been finalized. If you enroll in classes prior to the release of this hold, please note that your admission may still be rescinded/cancelled if it is determined that you do not meet admission requirements.

Transfer Admissions Eligibility Requirements

By the end of the last qualifying coursework term for admissions, you must still meet the lower division transfer admission requirements. For the specific admission requirements.

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after fees are initially charged or initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees. All listed fees, other than mandatory systemwide fees, are subject to change without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, or the Presidents, as appropriate.
