How to Access Email and GET

To access your Cal State LA campus email and GET via the myCalStateLA portal, please do the following:

  1. Activate your myCalStateLA Identity so you can login to your myCalStateLA portal. To activate, visit the myCalStateLA Identity webpage.
  2. After activating your myCalStateLA Identity, login to the myCalStateLA portal using your myCalStateLA identity username and password.
  3. Once logged into your myCalstateLA portal, follow the steps below to access your Cal State LA email and Golden Eagle Territory (GET).

How to access Cal State LA Email

Step 1: Go to my.calstatela.edu and login to the myCalStateLA portal.

Step 2: Once inside the portal, look for the left column, and click on the "Office 365 Email" icon.

Step 3: After clicking on the icon, it will request you to login again. For the user ID field, type in your full Cal State LA email address, which is your myCalStateLA identity username @calstatela.edu. For example, if your username is eagle47, your Cal State LA email address is eagle47@calstatela.edu. For the password, use the same password that you used to login to the myCalStateLA portal.

Step 4: If this is your first time accessing your Cal State LA email, you will be required to set the language and time zone.

Step 5: After completing the above steps, you should see your Office 365 Cal State LA email mailbox. Please read all messages from the University. Learn how to set-up your Cal State email on your personal computer, or mobile device.
 

How to access GET via the myCalStateLA portal

Step 1: Go to my.calstatela.edu and login to the myCalStateLA portal.

Step 2: Once inside the portal, look for the left column, and click on the "GET" icon.

Step 3: After completing the above steps, you should see your GET Self Service Student Center page. Please click on Self-Service to view your To Do list and holds, and regularly check this GET page. To learn more about GET, visit the Records Office GET webpage.
