Creating the Caption Files
There are many tools available to create captioning files for media files such as Flash. Captioning programs are available from MagPie and Captionate. We recommend using MagPie and Flash CS3 or higher version to create accessible media. Below are tutorials to help you get started:
1. Downloading Magpie 2.5: Please note MAGpie is a Java2 application which runs on Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP/Vista/Windows7.
2. Creating a captioning project in Magpie and export the project as DFXP format for Flash or SAMI file for Windows Media Video.
3.Adding XML Caption File to Flash CS3 for viewers with Flash Player 9
Adding XML Caption File to Flash 8 For viewers with Flash Player 8
Adding XML Caption File to Flash 8 For viewers with Flash Player 6 and 7
