New Web Accessibility Workshop Email

The newest addition to Information Technology Service’s (ITS) Web Accessibility workshop series is here! Fixing Checkpoint A, C, I, and Link Requirements covers step-by-step remediation of the top four accessibility issues that have the greatest impact towards taking our University websites to a better level of ATI compliance. In combination with the Focused ATI Reports, web authors and others who work on University’s websites will be given group access to the Compliance Sheriff tool and shown how to use Compliance Deputy to find, correct, and verify compliance of non-passing webpages.

Workshops are scheduled  to begin in June and we are urging all campus individuals (on a group-by-group basis) that create and maintain University websites to attend the workshop and kick start their remediation efforts on the proper use of alternative text (Checkpoint A), color (Checkpoint C), and frames (CheckpointI), as well as adherence to current link requirements.

Since the in-person workshop will be geared specifically towards your college, division, or department, we would like you to attend the workshop on [date and time placeholder] (approx. 90 minutes) and get started on your website’s remediation. If your team is unable to attend at the specified date and time, let us know and we will try to accommodate.

Please confirm your attendance by replying to this email; Workshop location and any other details will be emailed after confirmation.

If you have any question or concern, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you for your support.
