Link Validation Utility
Once you have uploaded your webpage to the server. You can also check for any broken links with the Link Validation Utility.
To check for broken links:
Go to Tools » Link Validation Utility…
Insert the address of the page inside the Starting URL:
text box.
Change Scan Depth spin box
to “1” and click on the Start button. (Figure 18)
Figure 1 - Link Validation UtilityAs the links are being processed you might noticed that broken links will say “Error Found” under Description column and “404” under Status column.
When the scan is complete, you may select the Report button to view a detailed report. (Figure 2)

Settings
It is recommended that the following settings be set so that the reports can be read with ease.
Go to Settings » Options… The Options dialog box will open.
In the Crawler tab, go to "Crawler Scope" and select Host Only Option.
In the Output tab, go to "Html Report Output Grouping" and select Group by File Type.
In the Filter tab, go to "Result Status Filter" and select Only Show Failed Links in the Report.(Figure 3)
