Services or activities: Needle exchange, harm reduction, referrals, legal aid, case management
Ages and ethnicity of those served: varies by location/community but all IV drug users.
Length of minimum commitment: Flexible
Hours per week: Flexible. Primarily weekend and evening hours available
Training program: No: Training is on-the-job. Staff will "hold students hand" every once in the beginning.
Personal qualities of volunteers: Open minded, likes people, non-judgmental.
Direct supervision: Yes, volunteer will always be in the presence of supervisor. These are small one-room operations
Supervision entails: Minor correction as needed.
