Services or activities: Homeless assistance, Case management,

health and mental health referral, ESL classes, referral to job services, after school

and teen programs. Besides helping house residents they also provide Drop in

community service.

Ages and ethnicity of those served: Women and Children of

all ages. Mostly Spanish Speaking.

Length of minimum commitment: Flexible

Hours per week: Flexible but consistent. Evening and weekend

hours are available.

Formal training program: No formal training, most

volunteers would be trained through shadowing.

Personal qualities of volunteers: Open to working with

people, comfortable with diversity, multitasking

Required skills/qualities: Can not be easily overwhelmed.

Additional requirements:  TB Test if longer commitment is


Direct supervision: Yes, volunteer will receive direct

supervision depending on position.

Supervision entails: Shadowing and occasional check-ins with

the volunteer coordinator.
