It is a club that represents you on campus. We are open to all students!
It provides you with research, outreach & leadership experience.
BPS members learn leadership roles and gain community outreach experience.
BPS understands that minority "college student experience is influenced by their immediate surrounding on a social context" (Allen 1992). Therefore, it serves as a support unit for all its members.

What we do...
The primary focus and motto of BPS is to empower through information. BPS leaders and members visit inner city schools to speak to high school students and their parents about higher education. This past May, their visit to Crenshaw High School was funded in part by the California Faculty Association (CFA).
In addition to Crenshaw High School, BPS was also extended an open invitation to Dorsey High School and the society was invited to participate in Dorsey's Parent & Student College Resource Fair.
