Department of Chicano Studies and History
POSITION: Chicano/a History; Tenure-Track Assistant Professorship
STARTING DATE: Fall 2014
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ABD or Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies or related field with a concentration in History, or ABD or Ph.D. in History. A Ph.D. from an accredited institution of higher education is required for tenure. Candidates should provide record of or potential for scholarly activity involving students whenever possible, as well as the demonstrated potential for effective teaching using a variety of methodologies. Candidates should also demonstrate an ability or interest in teaching in a multicultural, multiethnic campus.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D.
DUTIES: In addition to teaching, duties include student advisement and committee service for the Departments of Chicano Studies and History, College of Natural and Social Sciences, and the University.
SALARY RANGE: Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
