POSITION: Assistant Professor
STARTING DATE: Fall, 2014
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Public Health or related field awarded prior to commencement of the Fall quarter, 2014. Candidates should provide record of or potential for scholarly activity involving students whenever possible, as well as the demonstrated potential for effective teaching using a variety of methodologies. Candidates should also demonstrate an ability or interest in teaching in a multicultural, multiethnic campus.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Specialization in Community Health: candidates should be prepared to teach several of the following or related courses: Health Promotion, Health Communication, Program Planning and Evaluation, Community Health Programs, the Health Care Delivery System, International Health. Some college teaching experience preferred.
DUTIES: In addition to teaching, duties include student advisement, scholarly achievement and committee service for the Department, the College of Health and Human Services, and the University.
SALARY: Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
