DEPARTMENT/DIVISION OF: Special Education and Counseling
POSITION: Full time lecturer position, non-tenure track in the area of Mild Moderate Disabilities.
STARTING DATE: Fall 2013
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: M.A. in Special Education. Classroom teaching experience with students who have high incidence disabilities (i.e., learning disabilities, behavior disorders, mild-moderate intellectual disability.) Demonstrated ability and/or interest in working in a collaborative, multi-ethnic, multicultural environment. Proficiency in oral and written communication.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral candidate or Ph.D. Specialized topical knowledge such as assessment, instructional methods, curriculum adaptations, or other areas of expertise. Experience with professional development, university teaching, on-line instruction, and/or field supervision.
DUTIES: Principle duties include teaching credential and masters degree courses, supervising student teaching, student advisement.

SALARY RANGE: Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
