Head Coach, Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country
POSITION: Head Coach, Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country. Full-time, 12-month appointment in the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. Subsequent appointments are based on merit and program needs.
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible after November 1, 2012.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required, physical education or related field preferred. Demonstrated successful coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, or club levels. Commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete. Good communication skills and administrative abilities necessary. Demonstrated ability and/or interest in working in a multi-ethnic, multicultural environment.
DUTIES: Serve as Head Coach, Cal State L.A. Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country. The University is a member of NCAA Division II and the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Responsibilities include, coordinating practices and competitions, recruiting, ordering equipment, scheduling, gathering and recording of statistical information, and fund-raising. The Head Coach is responsible for enforcement of institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations relevant to Cal State L.A. Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country. Reports to the Director of Athletics.

SALARY RANGE: Initial salary is anticipated to be within the range of $90,000 - $100,000 depending upon qualifications and experience.
