Position: Jointly appointed faculty member of the Management and Communication Studies departments One tenure-track position, rank open depending upon experience and expertise, with possibility of credit toward tenure or tenure at appointment.

Starting Date:September, 2013. 

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited institution of higher education with expertise in communication studies. Candidates must hold an appropriate terminal degree earned within the most recent five-year period and/or have at least two peer reviewed journal articles in the field within the most recent five-year period. Candidates should have experience and expertise in business communication, public relations, and new media technologies.  Candidates should provide record of or potential for publication in refereed journals involving students whenever possible, as well as the demonstrated potential for effective teaching using a variety of methodologies.  Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication, and an ability or interest in teaching in a multicultural, multiethnic environment.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications: The best applicant will have a secondary area of teaching and scholarly interest that complements the current faculty.  Areas of need include:  Health communication, mass communication, inter-organizational communication, interpersonal communication, management and leadership. 

Duties: In addition to teaching, duties include student advisement and service for the Communication Studies Department, College of Arts and Letters, Management Department, College of Business and Economics, and the University.

Salary Range: Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. An additional stipend for program administration may be negotiated.
