Position: Instructional Student Assistant for College of Business and Economics
Starting Date: Beginning Winter quarter 2013 [and on-going]
Minimum Qualifications: Degree-seeking graduate student. Instructional Student Assistants must be registered in a CSU graduate degree program and must be enrolled in courses towards the completion of that degree during the appointment period. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment. Exceptions to the minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the University.
Preferred Qualifications: The applicant should display an ease and comfort in discussing issues with students of all ethnicities. Good library research, writing, people/social skills as well as an ability to mentor undergraduate students is essential.
Hiring Criteria: Graduate Student standing majoring in business with concentrations in Accounting, Economics and Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, Management, Marketing.
Duties: The primary job responsibility for this position is to provide tutorial services for students with questions related to specific fields of study.
Salary: Current Instructional Student Assistant rate for an average of 10 hours per week.
