Department of Sociology
Position: Graduate Assistant for Department of Sociology.
Starting Date: Spring 09 and ongoing.
Minimum Qualifications: Degree-seeking graduate student in the Department of Sociology to assist professor in large lecture class. Graduate Assistants must be registered in a CSU graduate degree program and must be enrolled in courses towards the completion of that graduate degree during the appointment period. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Second year in a Master of Art in Sociology.
Duties: Under the general supervision of the Instructor, the Graduate Assistant will perform clerical or other routine tasks such as proctoring exams; grading examinations, recording grades and preparation of course materials.
Salary: Current Graduate Assistant rate for an average of 20 hours per week.
